CPR/AED training only takes a couple of hours, but it can save a life! Learning up-to-date CPR techniques is of vital importance for everyone, from office workers to teachers, fitness instructors, tradesmen and everyone in between. We provide the following courses to fit your needs:
This course is designed for adults with limited or no medical training. All aspects of CPR are covered, including AED training and choking relief. Optional sections can include modifications for children and infants. This course is useful for fitness trainers, athletes, athletic trainers, clergy, teachers, students, office staff or anyone who wants to gain life-saving knowledge.
Participants will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Certification Card.
Basic CPR skills are covered with an emphasis on children, infants and newborns. Allergies and safe sleep practices are also discussed. Choking on all populations is taught. AED training is an optional section. This course is vital for all new parents, grandparents, nannies, babysitters and caregivers.
Participants will receive an American Heart Association Certification Card including children and infants.
This course covers CPR, AED and choking training specifically designed to meet the healthcare provider guidelines and requirements. BloodBorne Pathogen training is also available. This course is useful for Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Dentists, Medical and Nurse Assistants, and students in these fields.
Participants will receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification Card.
This group class is designed to teach essential babysitting life-saving techniques to mature 5th-8th graders. Basic first aid topics are discussed as well as safe babysitting behaviors. This course includes crucial aspects of running a babysitting business. Role playing and hands on training are important components of this course.
Participants will receive a Babysitter Certification Course Completion Card, including aspects of CPR.
Paula Lynn is a Registered Nurse who has decades of experience using and teaching CPR on a regular basis. She has a unique, fun, interesting and creative teaching style. Each participant will become informed and comfortable with the essential steps in CPR. Student success is a priority!
Paula earned her BA from Michigan State University, and her BSN from University of Detroit Mercy. She has served as an RN for over 20 years, and she serves on several in-house educational committees.
